State Event Updates

State events for 2019-20 are well underway in NGBD. In the Over 60’s Scott Manson (Maffra) & Gail McKenzie (West Sale) won the Singles. Pairs the perennial Don Carmichael (West Sale) teamed up with Yarram’s Jack Millier to take the event and then backed it up with a win in the State Pairs. Sale’s Pam Griffiths & Kris McAlpine won the women’s event.

New faces in the Triples events with the composite team of Keith Sargison, Geoff Stobie and Ron Orchard winning the men’s and Heyfield’s Leonie Flynn Sandy Holmes and Lee Clarke the Ladies.

Matt Higgins & Jan Morton (Sale) teamed up to win the Mixed pairs title.

Gail McKenzie & Jan Morton successfully defended their Pairs title, Julie Simic (Sale) won the Ladies Novice and Joe Scicluna (West Sale) the Novice Men’s.
