All White in the Novice Singles

In a rare double the North Gippsland Novice Singles titles have gone to father and daughter, Heyfields Jason and Kirstie White.

Last Sunday at Yarram Jason defeated Sale’s Peter Nikiton 21-17 in the final.
On Thursday Kirstie def Jenny Harris 21-15 in the semi final then after being 2-8 down in the final found her groove and went on to a 21-13 victory over Sale’s Pauline Reddick.
They will represent North Gippsland at West Sale in February at the Gippsland Region final.

Jason started playing social bowls at Heyfield in 2019 after his brother asked him to make up barefoot bowls team. daughter Kirstie, 22, joined them and their team won the barefoot bowls “Premiership “last year.
Jason and Kirstie realised it was one sport they could play together as father and daughter so they joined
Heyfield as full members in August 2019.

They are both now regular members of Heyfield’s Saturday and Midweek pennant sides and are often seen on the greens practicing together.
